Road Trips are one of my favorite things to do! I mean we are a moving company afterall. Traveling to new places, whether locally, in state, or across the country, there can be so many great memories made on these delightful drives. I have to admit though...driving makes me so darn hungry! 

Do any of you have this urge to just stuff your face with all sorts of snacks and goodies while on the road? 

I don't know what it is, but let me tell you, that there isn't a solid 30 minutes that go by that I don't have something to snack on. With that being said, chips, candy, pastries, all of those kinds of snacks are so easy to just lose track of, then the next thing you know you have a stomach ache from all the sugar. 

Which leads me to this…”What healthy car snacks are there that won’t melt?”

Below is a list of a handful of healthy road trip snacks that aren't going to     melt or get messy and help avoid that sugar rush stomach ache!

  • Granola 

  • Any kind of nuts, or trail mix! (Be careful of the ones that have the little chocolate pieces in it though! As long as they aren't in direct sunlight they should be a-okay!)

  • Sunflower or Pumpkin seeds (especially during summer or fall)

  • Beef Jerky! Now i know some of you may be questioning this because most jerky has a really high sodium content. However our bodies naturally need sodium and plus the amount of protein in these snacks, are totally worth it!

  • Popcorn.  Who doesn't love popcorn? Now I'm not saying that those kernels that always get stuck in our teeth are the best to have to deal with but...sometimes there has to be a little give and take right?

  • Fruit. The only thing to keep in mind with fruit is what kind and how long you will be driving for. Apples, grapes, pears, oranges, those will be fine! I would stay away from berries though, mainly because they will get squished and then you just have jam all over the place!
